The small class program provides a supportive setting to address the needs, readiness, and capacity of bright children with learning differences. In this environment, each child’s skills, self-worth, socialization, and sensitivity are fundamental in providing the basis for programming which allows for optimum growth and success. By helping students become more aware of their strengths, weaknesses, and individual learning styles, they acquire the ability to take more responsibility for their own learning.
The teacher provides the context and support in which each child can develop academically, socially, and emotionally. The objective of the program is to provide intensive instruction in specific areas while promoting as much independence as possible.
