Founded in 1961, Montcrest School is a co-educational, non-denominational independent school that provides children with a solid academic foundation for future success in education and life.
Our campus overlooks Riverdale Park in the Broadview and Danforth area. The wooded, ravined parkland allows us to use our environment as an outdoor classroom throughout the year. Traditional events such as Kite Day, Mini-Marathon, Terry Fox Run, and Fall Fair are highlights that engage our community - students, parents, alumni, and staff.
Montcrest inspires a love of learning and a commitment to excellence in teaching, as well as challenging each child towards intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and social/emotional development and well being.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Montcrest is a co-educational community, small enough to honour the individual and big enough to provide an exceptional academic experience with balanced opportunities in leadership, the arts, and athletics. Our school challenges children to discover and acknowledge their own voices, so they can understand and make meaningful connections with the world.
ACADEMICS & PHILOSOPHY
Montcrest School is a student-focused school with a small class philosophy. We challenge and nourish a wide range of learners. Within smaller class sizes, the child’s opportunity for learning and growth is maximized, and students progress with their strengths challenged and their needs addressed. Our vision is to be recognized as the leading elementary school community in Canada at bringing out the uniqueness of each child. Discover the co-ed advantage at Montcrest School.
