In the junior years, students build on the foundation of academic skills in a supportive learning environment.
They are challenged to develop critical thinking, research, and organizational skills. Cooperative and supportive relationships among teachers and students are fostered. Teachers encourage students to become independent, creative, and enthusiastic learners who are interested in the world around them. The curriculum is comprised of the following interdisciplinary subject areas: language arts, math, science, French, social studies, vocal music, drama, fine art, physical education, health, and information technology. The guided reading program carries through these vital years where children enhance their ability to read for learning.
