Parent volunteers are critical to the Montcrest community.
Volunteers help to enrich our children's experiences by providing support to teachers and staff, and by planning and executing both school and community-building events. All parents, both new and returning, are welcomed and encouraged to get involved in the parent volunteer community. Your time, no matter how much or how little, is appreciated.
DONE IN A DAY – Over the course of the school year, there are a number of volunteer opportunities which are one-off in nature, typically have little or no advance preparation and can be done in as little as two hours. An example of a “done in a day” task could be manning the popcorn machine one day at recess as a special treat for the children. Please note: “Done in a day” does not refer to field trips, Fall Fair, etc. – these requests will come through class parents. Contact: Kirsten Cooney (email@example.com)
SPRING FUNDRAISER - Join the committee and help plan our exciting spring fundraiser. Contact: TBA
COMMUNITY SERVICE COMMITTEE – Assist with various community service initiatives such as a Bookshare (volunteers will sort and box books donated by the Montcrest Community and then distribute them to an inner-city school). Contact: Donna Lindell (firstname.lastname@example.org)

Lunch shifts are Monday–Thursday from 11:45 – 12:30, and afternoon shifts are Monday-Thursday from 3:15 - 4:00. Contact: Daphne Pressman (firstname.lastname@example.org)
FALL FAIR – Our annual Fall Fair will be on Sunday, October 1th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Join the planning committee to create an unforgettable day for Montcrest families and friends. CLASS PARENT – Get to know your child’s teacher, the other children in your child’s class, and their parents by becoming a class parent. Your job will be to work with your teacher to coordinate parent volunteers for class trips and activities, communicate with parents in your class about school and class events, and help with the grade cocktail party. Contact: Kelly Shortt (email@example.com)
PIZZA LUNCH PROGRAM – This is the best lunch of the week! Prepare “class baskets” of pizza slices and cookies that are delivered by students to all the classes for Wednesday’s lunch. Shifts are from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. every Wednesday. Contact: Heather Abbott (firstname.lastname@example.org)
